Why Are You Looking for a Dentist Near Shrewsbury?

Since every smile is unique, every treatment plan is unique. That’s why our dental team near Shrewsbury dedicates the time necessary to get to know you, your dental needs, and your smile goals before making any recommendations. If you are interested in learning more about the services we provide in the meantime, simply click on the images below!

I Need a Checkup & Cleaning

Even if you brush twice a day, floss every night before bed, and rinse with mouthwash consistently, your oral hygiene regimen is ultimately incomplete if you don’t schedule a dental checkup and cleaning every six months. After all, tooth decay, oral cancer, gum disease, and other serious problems can develop and progress under the radar. So, if it has been more than six months since you’ve visited our dentist near Shrewsbury, now is the time to get your next appointment on the calendar!

I Want to Enhance My Smile

Our dental team near Shrewsbury is united behind a mission to give each patient a smile that’s as healthy as it is beautiful. So, if your self-esteem has taken a hit because of chips, stains, gaps, and other imperfections, don’t hesitate to schedule a consultation with us! From there, we can learn all about your concerns and aesthetic goals before reviewing the smile-enhancing services we offer, like veneers and teeth whitening.

I Have a Cavity or Broken Tooth

If you start to experience abnormal symptoms – from bleeding when you floss to tender gums and pain when biting down – don’t take the “wait and see” approach. Instead, call our dental office near Shrewsbury so we can determine what the culprit is! Then, we can review your treatment options, answer any questions you have, and get to work providing the restorative dental care you need.

I am Missing 1 or More Teeth

Dental bridges and dentures have been helping patients struggling with tooth loss smile again for decades. While they continue to be effective, reliable, and lifelike, there’s another option for our patients in Shrewsbury: dental implants. With this state-of-the-art solution, we can replace both the root and crown of your tooth while also stimulating your jawbone and preserving your youthful face shape!

I Want to Straighten Smile

There was once a time when pursuing a straighter smile meant wearing metal brackets and wires for 2+ years. That’s no longer the case. With Invisalign, our talented, experienced, and caring dentist in your area can achieve the same incredible results with clear aligners. So, if you want to leave crooked teeth, an open bite, or any other orthodontic issues in the past without noticeable braces, let us know – you may be a candidate for Invisalign!

I Am in Pain & Need Help

Whether you knocked out a tooth during a sports-related accident or you cracked a tooth while eating something crunchy, like an almond, our dental team near Shrewsbury is here to help! We recommend calling us so a helpful member of our team can provide immediate assistance, starting with scheduling an emergency visit.

How We Make Your Care Affordable

Starting with Dr. Costa, our team shares a passion for creating healthy, happy smiles. Since we never want the cost to stop you from scheduling an appointment, we offer several financial solutions as well, including flexible financing with CareCredit. If you’d like more details, you can click on the images below or give us a call!

We Welcome Dental Insurance

Dental insurance can help you save on everything from routine checkups to emergency dentistry. So, if you are insured, it’s important to familiarize yourself with your benefits so you know how to use them! If you have any questions, you can always call the help line on your paperwork. You can also reach out to our Shrewsbury dental team. We’d be happy to review your coverage, provide you with an estimate of your out-of-pocket expenses, and answer any remaining questions you have.

We Happily Accept Flexible Financing

Don’t have dental insurance? Don’t let that stop you from scheduling an appointment with us! After all, that’s not the only way to make the care you need more affordable. With CareCredit, you can choose a payment plan that works with your budget and space out the total cost into smaller, more manageable monthly chunks. Not only that, but several of their payment plans have little-to-no interest attached. If you would like more information, including where to sign up, let us know. We’d be happy to assist you!

We Extend Periodic Special Offers

Last, but certainly not least, we offer periodic specials, like discounted Zoom Whitening after a new patient exam & necessary X-ray. That way, our patients can achieve a healthier and even more beautiful smile while also saving money. If you would like to hear about our latest offers, you can ask for details when scheduling your appointment. You’re also welcome to ask a helpful member of our team during your visit!

You Asked, We Answered!

How do I get emergency dental care?

If you’re in pain, whether it’s from a serious crack or a damaged restoration, you need help – fast. The best thing to do is call us.  That way, we can schedule a same-day appointment with our compassionate, experienced, and Dawson Academy-trained dentist.

Important reminder: If you’re experiencing potentially life-threatening symptoms in tandem with your dental injury, like uncontrollable bleeding, you should call 911 or head to the ER immediately.

How much does a dental checkup & cleaning cost in Shrewsbury?

The average cost of a dental checkup and cleaning is $200 to $350. That said, that’s not necessarily the price you will end up paying. After all, there are several factors that need to be considered, including whether you have dental insurance. So, if you have any questions about the cost of your care, don’t hesitate to give our dental team near Shrewsbury a call! That way, we can give you a more precise estimate.

What do you do if you can't afford a dentist?

Perhaps one of the biggest misconceptions about dentistry is that it’s expensive. The truth is that neglecting your oral health is what’s actually costly. So, in addition to scheduling a dental visit every six months, get an appointment on the calendar if any abnormal dental symptoms develop. That way, we can diagnose and treat the root of the problem ASAP.

With all of that said, we’re here to help our patients get the care they need without the stress. That’s why we welcome several financial solutions, including CareCredit, as well as offer limited-time specials. If you’d like more details on either, let us know!

What level of education is required to be a dentist?

The journey to becoming a dentist is a long one, and it begins with an undergraduate degree. From there, the aspiring dentist must get accepted to an accredited dental school in the U.S. (there are only 67). Then, they must complete three years of in-classroom and hands-on training to earn their Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or a Doctor of Dental Sciences (DDS) degree.

While you might think their studies are over after they’ve earned their doctorate, that’s not the case. To maintain their license, they must complete continuing education hours each year. Dr. Costa, for example, has undergone extensive training at both the Spear Education Center and the Dawson Academy!
